Silence cont'd

We have known what silence means,it impact on our lives. We talked about the positive aspect with short story about Maya, this morning we will be talking about the negative aspect of it,which is the most common ones in our lives. Let me tell you a short story about Alex, whose parents are the silent type couple and how their silence affected him.

Here's a story that portrays the negative effect of silence:

In a bustling city, there lived a young boy named Alex. He grew up in a household where silence was the norm. His parents rarely spoke to each other, and even when they did, it was in hushed tones filled with tension. As a result, Alex became accustomed to keeping his thoughts and feelings locked away deep within.

As he grew older, the weight of silence began to take its toll on Alex. He found it difficult to express himself, unable to voice his opinions or share his joys and sorrows with others. His classmates often mistook his silence for indifference, and his friendships suffered.

One day, a new teacher named Ms. Johnson arrived at school. She had a warm and nurturing presence, and she noticed the sadness in Alex's eyes. Determined to help him break free from his self-imposed silence, Ms. Johnson started encouraging class discussions and creating a safe space for students to express themselves.

Slowly but surely, Alex began to open up in Ms. Johnson's classroom. He discovered the power of his own voice and the relief that came with sharing his thoughts and feelings. With each passing day, his confidence grew, and he found solace in the connections he formed with his classmates.

Outside of the classroom, Alex started to challenge the silence that had once consumed him. He spoke up during family gatherings, expressing his desires and concerns. Though met with initial resistance, his newfound assertiveness began to reshape the dynamics within his household.

As time went on, Alex realized that silence, when used as a shield, can be isolating and detrimental to one's well-being. He witnessed the negative effects of unspoken words and unresolved conflicts in his own family and vowed to never let silence rule his life again.

With his voice as a powerful tool, Alex became an advocate for open communication and empathy. He encouraged others to break free from the shackles of silence and to find their own voices.

Our home is the bedrock of every children, it is the way they see things at home that will determine the kind of foundation they have and will display it while outside, build your home with love, don't let your kids learn to keep quiet while hurting, show them love and freedom for them to have confidence and courage to open up to you when they are in difficulty.
